first site update in 6 months and its me talking about how im removing something. lol.
on the bottom of the credits page, i used to have a section thanking everyone for following, with a link to their 88x31 button (if they had one). however, im removing this section, and there are a few reasons why:

• paranoia: caring about how many people follow you is dumb, and this was really starting to mess with me. seeing that people were unfollowing me was a little upsetting, even if i never interacted with them
• maintenance: sites change addresses, accounts deactivate, buttons change. some people who follow don't have a button yet, but say it will be coming soon. so should they forever not get a button just because they happen to not have one at the time of me checking thier site? how would i handle people who link to my site who can't follow me because they don't use neocities?
• laziness: it just took a lot of effort to keep this section running, especially for something most people wouldn't see.

so, now its gone. this is possibly the first time you're even hearing about this section in the first place. i will (hopefully) begin working on moving some sites i like into the directory.
anyways, hi. im still alive i think. new stuff that isn't a blog post coming soon, hopefully.
