Last night, the White House published their United States Counterterrorism Strategy document. On page 7 of this document, the following concerning line is written:
In addition to cartels and Islamist terror groups, our national CT activities will also prioritize the rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American, radically pro-transgender, and anarchist. We will use all the tools constitutionally available to us to map them at home, identify their membership, map their ties to international organizations like Antifa, and use law enforcement tools to cripple them operationally before they can maim or kill the innocent.
Additionally, the foreword from Donald Trump ends with the following statement:
if you hurt Americans, or are planning to hurt Americans, “We Will Find You and We Will Kill You.”
Even if you aren't transgender, this should worry you. Anyone who opposes the Trump administration, is anarchist, or supports transgender rights is seen as a terrorist and is being threatened with death. This being combined with the US government's increased investments in Palantir for constant surveillance means anyone pro transgender can be labeled.
During Nazi Germany, Jews were labeled as terrorists as justification for murdering them. Now, the exact same thing is happening to anyone who supports trans rights or opposes Trump. This will affect you, even if you aren't trans. The Trump administration will start going after the rest of the LGBTQ+, black people, women, and more. Even if these groups aren't murdered, they will still lose their rights. In fact, its already happening.
Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act has been weakened, allowing states to jerrymander their voting maps, giving minority groups (especially black people) little to no voting power. ICE has murdered many people, along with raping women in ICE detention centers. Many states don't allow transgender people to get accurate licenses, with Kansas being the most recent, revoking licenses without warning.
Please, do not stay silent about this. This is a step into throwing America deeper into fascism. Real people are affected here. You need to stand up for what is right.
These changes will not affect my identity at all. I will remain nonbinary, we will all remain trans. None of us should let the government get in the way of our identities. All of us must stand together. And if I die, at least I died standing than lived kneeling.
